Lesbian movie review 2 - aka the Penultimate episode

Written by Sapphic Fanfic Cast on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 8:20 PM

Ok, so. This is the first of a three episode arch dedicated to the amazing movies "I Can't Think Straight" and "The World Unseen"! I'm joined by my good friend, Sami, and we have a great time talking about the two movies. We talk about what we like and, well, love (because honestly? There wasn't really anything that either of us disliked about either movie)

WARNING: May contain some spoilers (though we tried to stay away from them!)

I'm uber excited about these movies coming out, and I really hope you guys get a chance to see these awesome movies!

The next episode (which will forever be known as the ULTIMATE EPISODE) will be up sometime next weekend! Be on a look out for it, you won't want to miss it!

Also? Keep the feedback coming, ladies! I'm loving it :)

So I changed around the site, and made a new heading. I'll probably continue to play with it for the next few weeks, try to make it sleeker and more professional looking. Hopefully, at least :)

Ok, the link to buy the films... I'll be posting a new episode in a couple of days with a review of the movies! Look for that coming soon. But until then? Go visit the site (and check out the awesome banners the wonderful people over at Enlightenment Productions sent me - Thanks again, Aida!)

AWESOME NEW MOVIES!

So. I had the pleasure of seeing I Can't Think Straight this past weekend.

Oh. My. God. Words do not describe. Ordering the movies as soon as I get some money.

Easily my new favorite movie of all time. It will be in the number one position for an EXTREMELY long time, if not always.

It was amazing. Look for a new lesbian movie review podcast coming up with rave reviews dedicated to I Can't Think Straight and The World Unseen.

Yes. It was that amazing.

Back to the grind.

Annie on my Mind audio book!

Written by Sapphic Fanfic Cast on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 10:01 PM

Thanks to BFields for the heads up!

Some sites to get the Annie On My Mind audio book

Audible - rather expensive, but you might be able to get it for free by using the promo codes some podcasts give (for example, Galactica Watercooler or Mugglecast ) They give one credit (which normally equals one book), but require you to enter your credit card information. You can cancel right away, so that's nice, and an option for some. I'm not sure if it will work with Annie, because I don't know how many credits the books is worth.

Otherwise Books On Board is selling it for a little under $15

Hope that helps! Go get it! :)

Episode 11 - Lesbian movie relivew

In this episode, I review movies such as:

Letter from Nancy Garden:

Dear girl,

What a beautiful email you wrote me about ANNIE ON MY MIND!  Yes, I do get a good many letters from people who've read that book, but yours stands out as being truly lovely--and so well written I find myself wondering if writing is something you want to do after graduation.

I am so glad that ANNIE helped you through both bad and good times, and helped you find and accept yourself. That must indeed have been a most difficult journey, given your background, and you must be an especially courageous and determined person to have been able to emerge true to yourself.  I hope it's been possible for you to maintain ties with your family on some level, or that you'll be able to in the future.

The very best of luck to you in that future, and may you find someone else to love; I'm so sorry your relationship with your first girlfriend ended, but I feel sure that one day you'll find another who will turn out to be, perhaps in a somewhat different way, a love as wonderful.

Best wishes--and thank you again!,

Nancy Garden
